So there I was, 3:30 yesterday afternoon. Sitting in class with 45 minutes to go.. Listening to my professor jabber about incoherent crap while struggling to understand his broken english and even more broken handwriting..
Then I remembered I had a mint in my pocket.. So I took it out, unwrapped it, and put it in my mouth.. And it was good..

Inside Bozeman

Ok, we have been talking about this for a while and now it's time to act. What does everyone want to see on this site? I have a free webserver with no ads, the limitations are 60mb storage and all files must be under 300k. If this doesn't work out I'm sure I can find something else. It will always be free, anything more would undermine the foundation of the site in the first place.
I'm thinking sections kind of like Outside Bozeman only from an anti-bozeman/boulder point of view. I'm planning on writing up some stuff about how to be a cheapskate in bozeman, sneaking into bridger, sneaking into shows, the SUB, getting free lunches etc. Jesse is working on something about east coast douchebags in their natural habitat before they come to bozeman. Tarby says he can come up with something, as have Nate, Ehson and Will.
At some point we might sell some stickers and shirts poking fun at local cliches if all goes well.
Anyone and everyone is invited to contribute, let me know what you are thinking and we will work it in. This site is for all of us.

I think that this sums it up -
Image from here.
Seriously, get over it. Learn to take satire and either turn your head or start a sensible dialouge over it, or we'll have to send some abortion clinic-bombing maniacs of our own over to deal with the problem.

What I don't miss about Bozeman...
This wouldn't be so funny if it wasn't so true.. A poem written by Pete and recited at some hippy poetry contest a few years ago at the trusties favorite haunt, Aleworks..
The Ballad of the Disgruntled Ski Shop Employee
Not about the season I love, rather the one I detest
It’s the one with cold winds, and Christmas Lights aglow
The months of slippery sidewalks and blowing drifts of snow
But forget about the chill that makes you shiver like a ghost
The dreadlocked ski bum culture is what I hate the most
Hippies, Telemarkers and trustfunder’s too
wearing fleece, carhartts and Birkenstock shoes
Shopping at the Co-Op, and sporting Goretex
Yet telling us all their finances are wrecked
Talking of snow and how much came down
In patchouli scented circles, sitting in the Molly Brown
Speaking of lines, and of powder so sick
Always on their arm, a hairy legged chick.
Then its off quickly to the LaParilla store,
Your organic apple was not up to the chore
Of curing the munchies, you’ve lately acquired
From the grade A weed that you so, so desire
You return quickly home, after the feast
Searching the mailbox for the check from back east
Jump into the yellow XTERRA that Daddy bought you
Don’t tell us you worked hard for it, we know its not true
With speakers blasting Widespread, oh the memories these guys trigger
Hopping into the passenger seat, is your black lab named Bridger
Then off to the ski store, to see what’s to see
To work your bro down magic, on poor shop guys like me
To beg for a deal on ski boots by Garmont
Fuck you Hippy, go back to Vermont.
PS: He won the contest and three Bridger passes

Here are some from last week.
Marshall and I did the Randonee Rally at Bridger Bowl on Saturday. It was very difficult but rewarding. It involved lots of skinning and boot packing up hill and some sketchy icy descents. The only pictures I got were of the sunrise, which was a nice one.
The other two are from playing hookey on Tuesday to ski big sky on what will probably be one of their best days of the season.

Sunrise the day of the randonee rally
Marshall on Tuesday making it look deep
