Cuba
Can't post any pictures up from this computer, but just wanted to say hi from Cuba. Having an awesome time, have only worked so far, but the beetles are good and getting figured out! Maybe I'll graduate after all.
Hope you're all staying warm in Montana!

Fun with http://www.sp-studio.de/
Up for artistic interpretation...some of these are better than others. Those with notable beards and such work well. Katie I just couldn't get you right so work on the beard or work on it. Mike or Jill, you still have the ones of Solo and Richard :)

inner-lodge

When they close the roads to the ski areas first thing in the morning and make everyone already up there stay in the buildings until they have bombed everything. If you happen to be one of the lucky people staying up there or get there really early you are sharing the mountain with a handful of other people until the road opens, sometimes not till mid afternoon.
if you say so.

Are snow tires an option?

What kind of access would one of these MRAP's provide? They only cost 1 Million$, and the federal government has about 20,000 on order. I'm sure the US street version will be available shortly to park next to and dominate your neighbors Hummer.

City gives curbside recycling green light
By AMANDA RICKER Chronicle Staff Writer
The Bozeman City Commission Monday night unanimously approved startup of a curbside recycling program.
The service will cost $10 a month to collect cardboard, paper, plastics, tin and aluminum, but only residents that use city garbage services will be eligible to participate. Restricting the service will leave customers for several private recycling companies already offering curbside removal in the city, Commissioner Sean Becker said, making the motion to set the service's parameters.
“It's a safe place to start,” he said.
The city's curbside recycling service won't be up and running for at least nine months, enough time to order a collection truck, but residents can start signing up immediately, said Steve Johnson, superintendent of Bozeman's solid waste division. Interested residents that use the city's waste service can call 582-3200.

Slednecks for a Day
Two of my college buddies were in town for a few days and we decided to be slednecks for a day and took a tour through West Yellowstone. It was absolutely gorgeous and a ton of fun. I would recommend this to anyone.

Best skin trail ever

Todays skin trail ended at a hot spring. A new form of skiing I decided to call flat-country, kind of like cross-country but with different gear. I was the only person up there probably since the weekend. Some of you may recognize the hot spring, it's called Fifth Water Hot Spring (or Diamond Fork Hot Spring).

dam ice jam
This was from our attempted canoe trip last Dec. on the Missouri. The canoe never left the top of the truck.

my new ride
They now have bindings, right on her ass unfortunately, and have been skied one day. They are pretty awesome, ride about like the spats. The best analogy I've come up with for how they ski is; it's like nailing a porn star, not a practical everyday ride or much of a movie date but absolutely mind blowing when the conditions are right;-)
