Critical Mass This Friday

Is it bad to pirate a pirate poster? Anyways, this is a quickly edited poster from Vancouver but the same thing is going on in Bozeman (and all over the world) on the last friday of each and every month. Meet at the courthouse

I believe there is actually a party going on afterwards at one of the parks in town too, might be a good place to pilfer food off of those who have trust funds instead of jobs.

Conditions at 812 ft

It was a tough assent....brutal really. I did not attempt this by foot, opting instead to remain in the safety of my car, letting the Frito Lay truck take lead. The propel bottle next to the guard rail says it all. Whoever attempted this on foot certainly risked life, limb, and severe dehydration. Those Rhode Islander sure have it rough.

One perk of being a teacher...

For some reason, the students here still enjoy a "classroom birthday party." That means singing, napkins, and crappy cookies from Stop and Shop. But today was different. Check out what one student brought in to share. Now had I known of such a thing, I would have been buying them a long time ago!

J & J Snack Foods has taken frozen Barq's root beer, swirled it with vanilla ice cream and put it in cup and push-up pop forms for a classically summery treat.
"Everyone loves a root beer float," said Stacey Inglis-Baron, marketing manager of food service for J & J. "This is kind of an old-fashioned favorite in modern-day packaging. It's perfect for summer."

I just spent 20 shameful minutes trying to find a picture of this amazing frozen treat, but they are all embedded on some barq's fanatics' blog, so check that out:

A little something from the archives....

Sweeney Peak

The season's not quite over yet. This is a view of St. Joseph's Peak. Those are the Pyramid Buttes on the right side of the image. It was a nice 8 hour adventure. The snow was so hard in the morning that I didn't even use my snowshoes. By the time I reached the summit it was about 11:30 and the sun had warmed up the slush quite nicely, making a fast & wet ride down. Oh, and I lost my goggles up there somewhere. Sonofabitch.

[insert curse word here]

My car was broken into in the parking lot of Kara's apartment last night. The fuckers stole my stereo and bike GPS. Funny, they left the ipod but took the 90 dollar stereo. And the broke the window to boot... Fuckers fuckers fuckers....

V02 Max

. This is me taking part in an exercise science thesis project about a climbing treadmill. The test was brutal, the wall kept tipping over and rotation faster till I fell off. The mask measures the maximum amount of oxygen that my lungs are able to remove at maximum exertion.

I thought the photo was pretty funny

Toga!

A picture from a sweet Toga Pary at my friend Matt's house.. I still can't believe that I've been in school for 5.5 years and this is my first time in a toga..

Check out the sweet crowns Kara 'n I have.. We had the cooles outfits by far.. Although John (on far right) is wearing a vinyl tablecloth.. And that's pretty kickass if you ask me.

Ok, back to writing my final paper for Intelligent Materials and Systems.
