What?

I'm not really sure what is happening in either of these pictures, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

The VP was just thirsty... My yeti sometimes jumps in for drinks too...

As for the other one, It would look much less discomforting if his feet weren't touching..

I only had my feet together because I was trying not to slide down into the sand on my face.

looks to me like you were busting the crust....

That crust never even knew what hit it.

Actually that place was just sand. The real crust busting happened several hours later in the dark.

Hayduke (Edward Abbey) would punch you in the throat if he saw that..

I'm not sure about that. Hayduke and the other monkey wrenchers drove pickups on the crust and threw beer cans out their windows. But yes Abbey probably would not have approved of MTB's, cuz he was old.

Yeah, he was more anti people than pro nature huh? He did like bikes though

"A man on foot, on horseback or on a bicycle will see more, feel more, enjoy more in one mile than the motorized tourist can in a hundred miles."

One of the things Abbey wanted the Park Service to do, was close the roads in Arches NP to cars, and rent bikes at the entrance. Since it is a loop road and goes nowhere. Sounds like a great idea.
